SPORTS LAW AT THE CROSSROADS

Sports Law at the Crossroads II – new dates planned for forum

April 22 – In the light of the ongoing situation, as well as considering the expected developments of the coronavirus pandemic, the IWF-RexSport Forum that was scheduled to take place in Barcelona in June has been postponed.

The decision was taken as a matter of responsibility and since we all understand that the highest priority at these difficult times lays with safeguarding the good health of everyone, and due to the clear understanding that considering the overall circumstances the event cannot be held June. Efraim Barak, the Academic Director of the event, said: “This was a painful decision. As we did also in the previous Forums, and this became already a tradition, we have built a very unique and interesting program.

“We had already received confirmations from all the invited speakers being of the most prominent and well-known professionals in their areas and in sports law. However the cancelation decision was the only responsible and reasonable one that we could take.”

Depending on how the pandemic develops, the organisers intend to hold the event in 2020 but fitting it into a rearranged calendar.

New dates and agendas will be advised but you can also stay informed of developments by registering your interest by clicking here – if you have pre-registered before there is no need to re-register.
