Allianz Field, St Paul, Minnesota

Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota is a purpose built, 19,400 seat soccer-specific stadium and the home to MLS side Minnesota United.

In October 2015, Minnesota United owners took the decision to build on the 35-acre Saint Paul bus barn site. The stadium was completed in early 2019 with $200 million of private finance. The official opening was in April this year.

On October 23, 2015, team owners announced that Minnesota United would build a stadium on the 35-acre Saint Paul bus barn site. The stadium seats approximately 19,400, was completed in early 2019, and was privately financed for $200 million.

The ring-shaped stadium has possible future expansion to 24,474 with a plan that that would fill the four corners. It has a safe standing terrace for 2,920 supporters behind the south-end goal, called the ‘Wonderwall’ after the club’s unofficial anthem. The Wonderwall terrace was designed with a 34.9%. The north end has a brewpub, Brew Hall, and a manual scoreboard  and ninety-minute clock designed to resemble fixtures at the club’s former National Sports Center home in Blaine.
